Mrs. Geneva Bray, age 74 of Bray Creek Road passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19th, 2008 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 3rd, 1934 in Clay Co., Ky. to the union of Andy & Glenna Mae Barrett Byrd. She was a homemaker & a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years: Paul Bray of Bray Creek Road, her sons: Johnny Bray & wife Sharon of Bray Creek Road, Jerry Bray & wife Hazel of Berea, Ky., & Jimmy Bray of Berea, Ky. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Johnny, Kelly, Carrie Ann, & Emily, 5 great grandchildren: Brandon, Derek, MaKayla, Johnny Boone, & Dalton, as well as the following brothers & sisters: Alice Hensley of Sexton Creek, Emma Day of Collins Fork, Ada Sester of Sexton Creek, Glenna Jean Ray of Sexton Creek, Rosie Hornsby of Laurel Creek, Mary Bray of Bray Creek, Jr. Byrd of Sexton Creek, & Betty Byrd of Sexton Creek. She is preceded in death by her parents: Andy & Glenna Mae Byrd, & these brothers & sisters: Corbet, Bill, Ralph, Martha, Bob, & Estella. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 21st, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services for Mrs. Geneva Bray will be Saturday, Nov. 22nd, 2008 at 2 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Goodman will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bray Cemetery in the Bray Creek Community. Rominger Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
