Harry 'Sox' Anyan, a lifetime resident of Reardan, died July 14, 1978 in Spokane. Memorial services were held Tuesday, July 18, at the First Presbyterian Church in Reardan. The Rev. Steven Kliewer and Larry Soliday officiated. Private interment was held at the Reardan Cemetery following the memorial service. Anyan was a 1937 graduate of Reardan High School. He served in the military during WW II and was stationed on the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. In 1945 he went to work for the Reardan Grain Growers until his retirement in 1976. Survivors include two sons, Harry H. Anyan, Jr., and Garry Anyan, both of Spokane; three daughters, Barbara Humphrey, Ritzville, Patsy Soliday, Reardan, Myrnie Lemke, La Mesa, CA; 7 grandchildren…; six brothers, Everett Anyan, Lincoln, WA; George Anyan, Spokane; Dean Anyan, Reardan; Merl Anyan, Edwall; Roy Anyan and Glen Anyan, both of Spokane; 5 sisters, Jean Touiseu, Seattle; Ethel Loomis, Tacoma; Gladys Jones, Reardan; Emma Jo Miller, Spokane; and Hazel Johnson, Carmichael, CA.
