Agnes Blackburn
Agnes Crigger Blackburn, 83, of Dix Fork, Sidney, Ky., devoted mother and grandmother, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 at the home of her son Randy.
Born March 21, 1924 at Sidney, she was the daughter of the late William Anderson and Maggie Oney Crigger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Homer Blackburn, brothers Lee, Frank and Henry Crigger, sisters Juanita Blackburn, Ethel Smith and Gladus Thacker, and grandson Jerry Lee Blackburn.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Toler Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons Ronnie Blackburn of Sidney, Ky., Bernie Blackburn of Sidney, William Earl (June) Blackburn of Mt. Sterling, Ohio and Randy (Norma) Blackburn of Sidney, sister Elzie Smith of Sidney, grandchildren Bobby Blackburn, Kevin (Renee) Blackburn, Christie (Ryan Dean) Bruner and Lisa Reynolds, great grandchildren Bobby (Kelsey) Blackburn, Kevin Lee Blackburn and Jessica Blackburn, Hunter Weddington and Izzabella Bruner, Luke and Lauren Blackburn, and a host of great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky. with Donnie Williamson and Roger Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery at Sidney.
Pallbearers include Kevin Blackburn, Kevin Lee Blackburn, Ryan Dean Bruner, Daryl Smith, Kenneth Stanley and Paul Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Weddington, Luke Blackburn and Keegan Ferrell.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home with special services at 7.
All arrangements have been entrusted to R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky.
