Mrs. Frank C. Grouell, 74, a resident of this vicinity the last 40 years, and formerly of Wheatland, died at 5 pm Monday in her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Grouell, the former Beatrice Hall, was born in Wheatland, Iowa, on March 27, 1876. She was a daughter of Abram M and Rhoda (Schneider) Hall. She and Frank C. Grouell were married in Wheatland, Iowa, on January 31, 1894.

Mrs. Grouell was a member of First Presbyterian Church, was active in the Ladies Guild of the church, and was affiliated with the Davenport Woman’s Club, the Ladies of the GAR, the Parent-Teacher Association of Lincoln School, and the YWCA.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Beryl Grouell, Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Lenore Hollister and Mrs. J. H. (Josephine) Spence, both of Clinton; and a brother, Loredo T. Hall, Davenport. Services were at Horrigan Funeral Home with the Rev. Asa Ferry officiating and burial took place in Memorial Park.
