Mrs. H. Skilling Killed:
Well known Beloit woman meets death in unusual manner at Kansas City early today.
Mrs. Harvey Skilling of Beloit was killed in an accident on the viaduct in Kansas City shortly after 4 o'clock this morning, while enroute to her home at Beloit in company with
her husband and Miss Fulton.
Mr. Skilling had a truck load of plumbing supplies for W. H. Drinkern of Beloit with some pipe extending past the read end of the truck. On the viaduct, a car jammed into the
pipe. The pipe was rammed through the rear of the cab and hit Mrs. Skilling in the head.
She was rushed to a hospital but died within a few minutes.
The Skilling came to Beloit in 1928. Since that time, Mrs. Skilling has taken an active interest in social, church and lodge activities. She was president for a few years of the M.E. Friendship class.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed but it is thought that burial will at Lincoln, Nebraska. Complete obituary will be printed next week. No copy found of a complete obituary.
