Daughter of Noah and Mary Smith Baker. Bertha never married, was a dressmaker in Cumberland and also in Lincoln when she come out west to live with her sister, Annie, around 1910. She went to work for Security Mutual Life Insurance Co. in 1917 where she stayed for 35 years. She loved all her nieces and nephews, remembering them with monetary gifts, and was good to her parents in their later years especially.
