SERVICES HELD FOR MR. BERGMAN, 80

Lawrence F. Bergman, 80, of Beaverton, died Thursday, July 31, in the Clare Osteopathic Hospital following an illness of five months. Born in Wood County, Ohio, on July 12, 1889, he came to Gladwin County 73 years ago. Mr. Bergman was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren.
He was married to the former Myrtle Parkinson on May 31, 1914. She preceded him in death on April 14, 1956. Mr. Bergman married Abbie Paxton on Oct. 16, 1965, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Arehart, of Beaverton, Mrs. Eleanor Tucker, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; Mrs. John Berner and Mrs. Ann Mowery, of Midland; three sons, Thomas, of Mt. Pleasant, William and Calvin of Beaverton; one brother, Ralph, of Coleman- one sister, Mrs. Nora Mishler, of Coleman; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Henry List officiated ad burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home. Gladwin County Record dated 08-06/1969 Column - 6 Page - 1
