MULLINS - Carolyn Janet Thomas, 84, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, burial will follow at Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. .
Mrs. Thomas was born in Marion, a daughter of the late Robert H. Baxley and Anna E. Coleman Baxley. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Howard Thomas, Jr.
Mrs. Thomas was a retired nurse, having worked as a supervisor in the operating room at Marion Memorial Hospital for many years. She was also a member of Mullins First Baptist Church, and the Azalea Garden Club.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Mitchell (Karen) Thomas of Marion, Howard Glenn (Sheila) Thomas of Boiling Springs and Robert Brian (Reine') Thomas of North Augusta; and 6 grandchildren.
