HUDSON, Fla. — Barbara Ann Allison Brink of Hudson, Fla., passed peacefully away on Jan. 18, 2019, after a prolonged illness.
Originally from Chester, W.Va., she lived much of her adult life in Northern California before moving to the Tampa area around the year 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Brink, her sister Trudy Orrick of Utah, daughters Penny Raines Douglas of Lehi, Utah and Cami Raines Journey of Moody, Texas, and son Danny L. Raines of Canton, Ohio, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also is remembered fondly by many other “children” and “grandchildren” whom she nurtured and claimed as her own.
She was predeceased by her parents Dora Beresford Allison and Claude O. Allison and by brothers Blaine Allison and Jerry Allison and her nephew Ivan N. Orrick.
Mrs. Brink was a member of the Spirit of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hudson, Fla. She enjoyed making and donating children’s quilts, receiving blankets and afghans to the Ronald McDonald House and Shriner’s Hospital through the Toymakers, as well as for her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 at Spirit of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9525 Hudson Ave, Hudson, Fla.
