Obituary: - Hazel Irene Delaney - 1926-2019

Delaney, Hazel Irene, 92, Truro, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019, in the Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Ethel (Crowe) Fielding.

Hazel was a stay at home loving mom, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved and cherished her family. Mom and Dad always loved to be together and enjoyed taking long stroll’s at their cottage in Economy. In her final moments, those that could not be there with her to say goodbye were able to convey their love by telephone.

Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Percy Delaney Sr; sisters, Rita Rice, Marilyn Waller, Barbara Atkinson; brothers, Sherman, Russell, Fred and Lewis in infancy.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 23rd from 1-1:45 pm directly followed by funeral service at 2 pm. Reverend Dr. Betty Johnson will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley
