VINA, AL – Shellie Lou Coats Scott, 99, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born in Franklin County, AL to Obe and Mattie Bonds Coats. She was a factory worker for 25 years and a member of Burnout Missionary Baptist Church. She was a gifted seamstress for many years.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 14, 3 p.m. at Burnout Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Quinn and Bro. Danny Stanford officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by four children-Louise Shewbart (Forbus) of Vina, AL, Truman Scott (Jackie) of Hodges, AL, Charlotte Spearman of Muscle Shoals, AL and Sue Leiser (Bert) of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughter-in-law-Kay Scott of Hodges, AL; ten grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and two sisters-Dot Honeycutt and Dorothy Rollins both of Red Bay, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband-Bill Scott and one son-Billy Joe Scott.

Pallbearers will be Lance Rozelle, Joseph Emerson, Kevin Scott, Brian Scott, Kaleb Scott, Blake Taylor, Bryan Hester and Austin Scott.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 14, 1-3 p.m. at Burnout Missionary Baptist Church.
