She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Louise Tankersley Ballard; her husband, Clyde Hill; her son, Mike Hill, and nine siblings.
She had worked at JP Stevens in her early years but predominately was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother.
She was very active in her church, Victory Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
God and family was the center of her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Hingenitz and her husband Ron, of Flat Rock; one grandson, Joe Hingenitz, of Flat Rock and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Victory Baptist Church on Orchard Road with Pastor Stanley Adcock officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday night at Victory Baptist Church.
