Balsley, forty-eight years old, died Wednesday afternoon in the state hospital in Logansport after an illness of a week following a stroke of apoplexy.
Hurley Welcome Balsley was the son of John and Dorcas Balsley and was born on a farm near Bremen in 1886. He is survived by three brothers and two sisters --- William Balsley of Lakeville, Edward and Elmer Balsley of Bremen, Mrs. Clara Huff of Bremen and Mrs. Melissa Lowery of South Bend.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two oclock at Grace United Brethren church, Rev. J. W. Lake, the pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Bremen cemetery.
