Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Huff Funeral Home for Clarence Elmer Balsley, 84 years old, of R.R. 3, Bremen, who died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, in Community Hospital. Rev. Leroy Wise, pastor of the United Missionary church, officiated in the services and burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
Mr. Balsley was born Dec. 27, 1878, and was married at Plymouth April 27, 1901, to Mary Ann Klingerman, who died in March, 1939.
Surviving are four sons, Harland and Owen of Bremen and Wilbert and Noble of Nappanee; three daughters, Mrs. Alton Veon of Warsaw and Mrs. Noble (Blanche) Middaugh and Mrs. Floyd (Ruth)Middaugh of Nappanee; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
