Edward Balsley, seventy-three years old, a life-long resident of this community, died in Community hospital Monday morning. He had been ill several months and was in the hospital ten days.
Born Sept. 18, 1875, he was the son of John and Dorcas (Fisher) Balsley. he was married December 31, 1899, to Edith Cripe, who died in June, 1943.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Stevens and Mrs. Chester Payne of Bremen and Mrs. Velma Kushto of South Bend; one sister, Mrs. George Huff of Bremen; two brothers, Elmer of Bremen and William of Lakeville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Huff Funeral Home. Rev. D. H. Pellett of Grace Evangelical United Brethren church will officiate in the services. Burial will be in Bremen cemetery.
