Alice was the daughter of Leonidas and Florence Matilda Weller Tucker and the wife of Thomas Ross Cole II. She is my grandmother.

OBITUARY

Alice M. Cole
Alice M. Tucker was born on August 7, 1881 in Marysville, Iowa and died on December 16, 1964 at her home in Lamont. She received her grade and high school education in Marysville and in 1898 and 99 attended Iowa Wesleyan college at Mount Pleasant.
In 1901 she moved with her family to Lamont, Oklahoma where she worked in the First State Bank until she was married to Tom Cole on January 22, 1902.
The next 14 years they lived in Albia and Buxton, Iowa, returning to Lamont in 1916 where she lived until the time of her death.
To this union were born two boys, Thomas Ross, born in Buxton, Iowa, June 7, 1911 and Harrison Lambert, born in Lamont, February 29, 1916. She was preceded in Death by her son Harrison on November 27, 1929.
She was a faithful member of the Methodist church from childhood and was the last charter member of the Lamont Methodist church.
She is survived by:
Her husband, Tom, of Lamont; one son, Thomas Ross of Wichita; two grandchildren, Nancy and Tommie Cole of Wichita and many other relativesa nd friends.
