Florence was the wife of Leonidas Tucker and the daughter of William D. and Maria M. Stowe Weller. She is my great-grandmother.

OBITUARY

Longtime Lamont Resident Dies At Home There

LAMONT, Sept. 28 --- Mrs. Florance (sic.) M. Tucker, 88, who came to Lamont with her family, from Iowa, 42 years ago, died at her home here at 1 a.m. Tuesday, after six weeks of ill health.
She was a member of the Methodist church, the W. S. C. S., the W. C. T. U. and the Friendship class.
She is survived by two sons, H. J., Harlingen, Tex., and A. L., Arkansas City, Kans. , and two daughters, Mrs. Alice M. Cole, Lamont, and Mrs. Orpha Thompson, Harlingen, Tex.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church here at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, with burial in the Lamont cemetery under direction of the Pishney Funeral home.

MRS FLORENCE TUCKER DIED EARLY TUESDAY
At One o'clock Tuesday morning Mrs. Florence Tucker, 88, who had resided in Lamont for the paast (sic.) 42 years died at her home here, after an illness of about six weeks. She came with her fam ily to Lamont from Iowa.
During the years she lived in Lamont she had a great interest in the local Methodist church of which she was a member. She was also a member of the W. S. C. S., the W. C. T. U., and the Friendsh ip Sunday School class.
Those surviving are two sons, Harry J. Tucker, now of Harlingen, Texas, and A. L. Tucker, Arkansas City, Kansas, and two daughters, Mrs. Alice M. Cole of Lamont, and Mrs. Orpha Thompson of Harlin gen, Texas.
The funeral is being held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church.
