Tom was the husband of Alice Maria Tucker Cole and the son of Thomas Ross I and Luella Clark Cole. He is my grandfather.

DEATH TAKES THOMAS R. COLE, AGE 94

Thomas R. Cole, a retired hardware store operator in Lamont, died Thursday. He was 94. Born Sept. 29, 1879 in Iowa, Mr. Cole had been a resident of the Lamont community since 1916. Prior to that time he lived in Baxton (sic), Iowa.
He was a member of the Lamont United Methodist Church. His wife, Alice, preceded him in death in 1964.
Survivors are a son, Thomas, Wichita, Kans., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Lamont United Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. Nick Harris officiating. Organist was Mrs. Ardis Gautier and a quartet of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Schuelein sang 'Beyond the Sunset' and 'Abide With Me.' Serving as casketbearers were Ralph Bobbitt, Merle Hardwick, Homer Heusel, Bryan Dowell, Don Muegge and Frank Dodge. Interment was in Lamont Cemetery w ith McCafferty Bolick directing.
