ROCKLAND - Donald E. Varner, of Hanover, died Monday, Oct. 3, 1994, in South Shore Hospital, South Weymouth, after an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Varner was born in Zanesville and was raised and educated in Ohio. He was a graduate of Ohio State University. He lived in Hanover for the past 29 years. A former electrical engineer for the Gillette Co., he worked for the Safety Razor Division in research and development and retired in 1984 after 20 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hanover and served on its board of trustees. He was a member of the Hanover chapter of the American Association of Retired People and Electronics Engineers. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific."...
