Willie's birth record has not been found but her death record indicates she was born in Texas. Her sister's death record indicates that the family moved to Port Arthur about 1896. They appear in the 1900 census there. Head of household is Nettie Baker, indicated as married although William is not residing with his family in this census. By 1910, Nettie indicates she is widowed (and the 1900 census enumerator may have made an error about Nettie's marital status).
