On 30 April 1916 in Port Arthur, Willie married Hugo L. Alexander (who had been born in KY). They had a stillborn son on 12 Oct, 1918 and he was buried in City Cemetery the following day. His mother did not long outlive him. She last appears in the 19 Jan. 1920 census with her husband just a few days before her death by pneumonia in the hospital on Proctor Street on 4 Feb. 1920. Although it names her as Mrs. Willie Crowder Alexander, the death certificate calls her single. The certficate correctly names her parents and the informant was her brother Harry.
