Bishop Hill ~ Eddie Edward Tillman, 94, of rural Bishop Hill died at 1:45 Sunday at the Cottage Hospital Galesburg, where he was admitted on Saturday. He had been in failing health for the past few years.
He was born on a farm northwest of Bishop Hill on 25 May 1874, one of four children of Eric and Brita Tillman. He was educated in the rural schools and was married to Anna. Lind on 12 June 1896 in Galva. She preceded him in dead on 1 May 1958. His occupation was farming until he retired several years ago. He was a member of the Modern Woodman of American
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James H. (Edna) Kelly of Galva; one son Veron L. Tillman of Bishop Hill one granddaughter, four great grandchild, two great great grandchildren. One brother Victor of Galva, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in dath by his parents , one daughter, one son, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 28 Jan. 1969. Burial will be in Bishop Hill Cemetery.
