Retired Area Farmer Veron Tillman Dies
Bishop Hill ~ Veron L. Tillman 71, retired farmer of Bishop Hill died on Thurs, 22 Jan 1976 at St. Mary's Hospital in Galesburg, IL. Where he was admitted as a patient at 6:06pm Thursday. Since November 18 he had been a patient at Galesburg Convalescent Center.
Tillman was born on a farm northwest of Galva, in Galva Township on 7 Feb 1904, one of four children of Eddie and Anna (Lind) Tillman. He was educated in rural schools. He farmed until his retirement in 1972 when he moved to Bishop Hill. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. James (Edna) Kelly of Galva; and one niece, Mrs Louis 9Irene) Johnson, Bishop Hill. Interment was in Bishop Hill Cemetery.
