ERIC TILLMAN
Eric Tillman was bom at Gunbo, Alfta Socken, Sweden, August 25, 1847, and died at Galva, ILL., February 24, 1919, at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 29 days. He came to America in the spring of 1868 and located on a farm northwest of Bishop Hill where he resided until 1907, when he and his only daughter moved to Galva. In 1873 he was united in marriage to Brita Person. To them were born three boys and one girl. The youngest son died October 19, 1905. The wife and mother died January 29, 1896.

He was a member of Big Stump Camp No. 1042 M. W. A., having joined this organization about 28 years ago.

Deceased is survived by two sisters in Sweden; two sons, Ed and Victor, living near Bishop Hill; one daughter, Annie, his sole comfort and homemaker during his residence at Galva; eight grandchildren and one grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the late home Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock and were in charge of Rev. A. G. Peterson, of the Swedish Methodist church. The burial was at the Bishop Hill cemetery where the Modern Woodmen had charge.
