OBIT:
Mrs. Ora Newell, 79, of 602 North Market Street, died this morning, Saturday, at Mahaska Hospital. Mrs. Newell was a former resident of the Fremont community and had lived in Oskaloosa for the past 14 years. She was the widow of James C. Newell.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harris Sherman of Oskaloosa; a granddaughter, Mrs. Ellen Durham of Oskaloosa; one great grandchild, and a brother, Arthur B. Lee of Howard, S.D.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wilcox-Garland Chapel with Rev. Fred Samek of the Central Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Township Cemetery at Fremont.
