Beulah May Waldrop, 78, of Carlsbad, died there Thursday, July 12. She lived in Luna County for many years before moving to Carlsbad two and half years ago. Mrs. Waldrop was born Jan. 25, 1901, at Wise County, TX. She was a member of the Ninth Street Church of Christ here. Services were today, July 16, at 10 a.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel. Internment followed at Mountain View Cemetery with Ralph Jones of the Ninth Street Church of Christ officiating. Mrs. Waldrop is survived by her husband, Charlie Waldrop; four sons, Dalton L. and Thomas E. Waldrop of Moses Lake, WA; Bob D. and Charlie H. of Deming; a daughter, Thelma Lee Minach of Deming; three brothers, Lee and L.W. Hays of Deming and T.O. Hays of Dallas; four sisters, Lillie Hays, Nita Ruebush, and Jewell McConathy of Deming, and Ruth Nelson of Farmington; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Andrews, Carl Vocale, Jerry Richardson, Gerald Anderson, Danny Cross and Bill Hobbs. The Wheeler Mortuary is in charge of all arrangements.
