Pernedia Frances Hays Ruebush (Nita) 91, passed away on February 5, 2016 at Willow Manor surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon, February 9, 2016 from 3 to 6 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel with Joe Hays officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Nita was born to Thomas and Janetta Hays on May 28, 1924 in Clay County, Texas. She moved to the Deming area in the early 1940’s. She married the love of her life, Shelton W. Ruebush Sr., on January 1, 1944 in Kingman, Arizona. They returned to Deming, New Mexico where they farmed and raised their 10 children together.
Nita is survived by her children, Patsy (Don) Morris of Fort Collins Colorado, Mitchell (Darla) Ruebush of Rigby Idaho, Garry (Catherine) Ruebush of Deming, Delmer (Debbie) Ruebush of Deming, and Danny (Debbie) Ruebush of Fort Stockton Texas, Jeanetta Ruebush, Annette (Jim) Warczinski, and Lora Robinson of Deming, and Linda (Ralph) Shiflett of Decatur Texas, and numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Nita was preceded in death by her husband and two sons Shelton Ruebush, Jr. and Donn B. Ruebush. Also by all eight of her siblings, Beulah Waldrop, Samuel Lee Hays, Lillie Hays, Addie Ruth Nelson, Thomas Oliver Hays, Clarence Edward Hays, Lawrence Wilson Hays, and Jewell Dean McConathy.
Pallbearers will be Delmer, Mitchell, Danny, and Daniel Ruebush, Don Morris and Jim Warczinski.
