MRS. LEWIS DAWSON,
WAYNE CITY, DIES
Sister Of Ex-Sheriff Arthur Barnard
Funeral At Bailey Church Saturday.

"Mrs. Louella Dawson 61, died early Thursday morning at her home near Bailey church, north of Wayne City.

"Funeral services were held at Bailey church on Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Dwight Rogers and the Rev. Delbert Goff. Burial was in the Bailey cemetery.

"Mrs. Dawson was born near Wayne City on October 17th, 1890, the daughter of S. L. and Catherine (Spicer) Barnard.

"She was married on October 16th, 1912 to Lewis Dawson. No children were born to this union but in later years they took into their home Rosco Reynalds, who lived with them four years as a beloved foster son. Then Charles Roach came into their home at the age of eleven years, and was reared to manhood.

"Mrs. Dawson was a member of the Bailey General Baptist church.

"Surviving are her husband, a foster son, Charley Roach, of Orchardville; three brothers, Arthur Barnard, of Wayne City; Ordie Barnard, of Scales Mound; and Clarence Barnard, of Geff; and three sisters, Mrs. William Barnard, Mrs. George Wilson and Mrs. Nettie Reed, all of the Bailey neighborhood. "
