LILLIE A. BARNARD

Died at Her Home
North of Wayne City May 6th
Rites Held Mary 8th.

"Lillie A. daughter of Sylvester L. Barnard and Catherine L. Barnard, was born July 9th, 1886, in Wayne County, Illinois. After a brief illness, she died at her home north of Wayne City at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 6th, 1959, at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 6 days. Funeral services were held May 8th from Bailey church.

"On March 21st, 1905, she was married to William H. Barnard. To this union a daughter and two sons were born: Mrs. Inez Manahan, of Johnsonville; Lowell, of Wayne City; and Russell Barnard, of Wayne City. In addition to her daughter and two sons, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Hattie Wilson, of Wayne City, and two brothers, Arthur Barnard, of Wayne City, and Orda Barnard, of Cisne, also survive.

"Her husband, William H. Barnard preceded her in death March 8th, 1957. Two sisters, Nettie Reed and Ella Dawson, of Wayne City and one brother, Clarence Barnard, of Cisne, also preceded her in death.

"Early in life she was converted at a meeting held at Bailey church and united with the Bailey Methodist church. "

We'll miss her cheerful voice and friendly ways.
As often we'll recall the many happy days.
When her gay laughter and her happy smile,
Brightened life and made it seem so worth while.
