She was born February 3, 1946 to Henry and Hazel Vogler in Roscoe.
She moved to their farm in Winters as a young child and grew up here. She attended school in Winters and graduated from Winters High School.
She married George Beard, who later preceded her in death.
She was an avid member of the Abilene Women’s Club. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wesley and Duane Vogler, and step-brothers Enis and Ellis Vogler.
She is survived by her sons: James Glenn and wife Lisa of Oak Harbor, OH, Jeff Glenn and wife Cindy of Moraine, OH, and Jimmy John Ripley of College Station; sisters: Louise Brown of Seguin, and Ruth Cooper of Winters; granddaughters: Emily Glenn, and Megan Glenn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
