CLARA BELL BONIFIELD
Clara Bell Bonifield, 84 of La Plata, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 1996, at the Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville.
Born July 29, 1912 in Elmer, she was the daaughter of Charles M. and Ora Susan (Roberts) Bonifield, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were one brother, Lester Bonifield; one half-brother, Charles Bonifield; and one half-sister, Pearl Riley.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Herman Spencer of Elmer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Miss Bonifield lived most of her life in the Elmer community and was a 1931 graduate of the Elmer High School. She had been employed as a telephone operator. For the past several years she had resided in the La Plata Nursing Home. She was a member of the Elmer Christian Church and the Elmer Rebekah Lodge.
Funeral services were held at the Travis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996. Burial was in the Elmer Cemetery.
