Funeral services for Jimmie L. Jones, 90, of Epps will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi, LA with Rev. Bobby Arnold and Bro. David Brock officiating, with Military Honors to be presented in the chapel after services..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi from 5-8 PM.
Burial will be in the Faith Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Jimmie was born on April 2, 1928 in Baskin, LA to the union of Robert Cornelius Jones and Clara Mae Tibbs Jones. He was a PFC in the US Army having received a Purple Heart
for being wounded during his tour in Korea.
He was a Housepainter by trade.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Bob and Ed Jones and Myrtle Hines, Emma Dee Howington, Juanita Zimmerman, Edna Mae Yeager and Nobie Yeager.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Crain Jones of Epps, LA, two children Kathy Hollis and husband Johnnie of Holly Ridge, LA and Ricky Donald Jones and wife Hope of
Archibald, LA; 5 grandchildren, Cody Jones, Brittany Smart, Chris Blaylock, Stephanie Stewart and Brad Blaylock; 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister
Margurete Barrow of Delhi, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by an adopted daughter and her son, Tina Comeaux and Joshua.
Pallbearers will be Cody Jones, Brad Blaylock, Christian Blaylock, Jimmy Sims, Preston Brock and Donald Myers.
