Mrs. Clara Mae Jones, 80, of Epps, died Saturday at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi after a short illness.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Delhi with the Revs. Fred Hale and J. P. Harvey officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery of Delhi.

Mrs. Jones was a native of Russellville, Ark. and had resided in Epps for the past 38 years. She was a member of Hegwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Emma Dee Howington of Epps, Mrs. Myrtle Hines and Mrs. Juanita Zimmerman, both of Kenner, Mrs. Nobie Yeager and Mrs. Margueritte Barrow, both of Delhi and Mrs. Edna Yeager of Monroe; three sons, Robert Jones of Delhi, Edward Jones and Jim Jones, both of Epps; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Campbell, Mrs. Cora Sproles, both of Jackson; and Mrs. Ruby Evans of Monroe; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jack Payne, James Payne, Steve Blaylock, Willie Ray Nielsen, Sherman McMillan and Max Mooney.
