Being the Great-great grandson of David Daniel Bridgforth, I heard from my Hanserd family members the location of the Old David Daniel Bridgforth Home Place. It is on Tennessee County Line Road . In the late 1980's , I requested permission from the current land owner to visit the plantation. The old house was in tact. Later documentation says it has been demolished.

Directions to the Old David Daniel Bridgforth Home Place:

Take Interstate 65 to the Elkmont Alabama Exit 361;
Travel Sandlin Road West 2.6 miles;
Turn right on Hays Mill Road Travel 1,1 miles;
Cross over onto Pettusville County Road 55;
Tavel to Y and stay right past Pettusville Methodist Church;
continue and Turn left on State Line Road;
Travel about 1.0 mile to top of hill;
Plantation and Graves are on right hand side across pasture to edge of pine trees approximately 200 yards off the road.

The Limestone Legacy Bridgforth Family says the frame house with its five-bay plan was constructed near the end of the Federal period of architecture and displayed the characteristics of that period as they were transplanted to the area by Virginia
