William C. Monahan, 69, S. Sycamore St., died Saturday, October 16, at his residence. Death was unexpected.
A native of Fairmount, Mr. Monahan was a lifetime resident of the area. He formerly was employed as shipping clerk in a Marion factory. A veteran of WWII, he was a member of the Fairmount American Legion Post.
Survivors include two brothers, James, Fairmount, and John, Phoenix, Ariz., and sister, Mrs. Jennie Campbell, Fairmount.
Services were held Wednesday, October 20, in the Hunt and Nolder Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Park Cemetery.
