Two Fairmount residents received word of the death of their brother, John Monahan, 66, Phoenix, Ariz., who died Friday, August 18, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, in Phoenix.
Mr. Monahan was a member of the Christian Scientist Church and the American Legion Post in Fairmount. He formerly lived in Anderson before moving to Phoenix in 1972. He had worked as a tool & die maker for Delco-Remy in Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; a brother, James H., Fairmount, and sister, Jennie Campbell, Fairmount.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 22, in the Hunt Funeral Home, Fairmount. Burial was made in the Park Cemetery.
