Fairmount - John Henry Monahan, 82, a retired cement contractor, died at his home on Sycamore St., today, after an illness of five years.
He retired from the contracting business several years ago. He had lived in this community most of his life.
Survivors include the widow, Nettie; two daughters, Mrs. George Campbell, Detroit, and Miss Harrietta Monahan, at home; four sons, O. H. Monahan, Jonesboro, William, James and John J., all at home.
Funeral services were held on Monday. Burial was made in the Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
