Her mother Elizabeth Birdwell Isbell Conway was born 1 Jan 1800 in Tennessee and died 10 July 1872 in Colbert County, Alabama. Elizabeth Birdwell, along with her sister Sarah H Birdwell, were among the Alabama Mississippi Territory's first settlers, having settled in what is now Madison County, Alabama in 1805.

George Birdwell was born 1721 in Stafford, Stafford County, Virginia and died 14 Sep 1781 in Bedford, Bedford County, Virginia.

Sarah Jane Richardson 1764 – 1876. Zachariah Isbell was born 1769 in Ft Watauga, Warren, Tennessee, North Carolina and died during 1825 in Warren, Tennessee, United States or Decatur, Alabama USA. In 1772 there was a Zachariah Isbell who was a member of the Watauga Association Council in the Watauga settlement in what is now Elizabethton,Tennessee. In May 1772 the first Constitution in North America was written by the people of the Watauge Settlement and called the "Articles of Watauga Association."
This called for an assembly of 13 "commissioners" elected by the people to formulate laws. These commissioners in turn elected and appointed a committee of five with judicial and executive authority for administrative the government of the settlement. The first five men appointed were Zachariah
Isbell, John Sevier (first Gov of Tennessee), James Robertson, Charles Robertson, and John Carter. All of these 13 men were also present at the Battle of King's Mountain. Zachariah took part in the purchase of East Tennessee lands from the Cherokee in 1775 and was member of the Council and signer of the Watauga petition asking for annexation of the "Washington District", which included all of modern day Tennessee, to North Carolina July 1776. The Washington District was named Washington County and as stated before included all of present day Tennessee.
He was one of the 27 magistrates first appointed in the new Washington County in November 1777. In early 1778 Washington County was divided into 7 regions and Zachariah Isbell was appointed as one of the 7 magistrates to make returns of taxable property. He was also a justice of Washington in 1778 and a signer of the Halifax petition.
He served with Col. John Sevier and the "Overmountain Men" in the Battle of King's Mountain on 7 October 1780.
He was appointed, along with John Sevier and Jesse Walton as commissioners to confiscate the properties of Tories in Washington County, Tennessee.
