Wife of Andrew Jackson "Jack" Talkington.
Family trees online say they married April 1834 in Jackson County, Alabama. He was the son of John Talkington and Charlotte Sapp of Logan County, Kentucky.
The name is sometimes spelled Tarkington in some records.

Mary was the first child of James Isbell and Elizabeth Birdwell, apparently named for her maternal grandmother Mary "Polly" Allen Birdwell.

A family tree online gives her birthdate as April 16, 1816, while the Isbell Bible transcription by Rev. Sherman Isbell gave her birth date as April 1, 1816. The 1850-80 censuses consistently show she was born in Alabama Territory. Her parents moved back to Lincoln Co., Tennessee by the 1820 census, but by 1825 they were back in Jackson Co., Alabama

Buried with her father, her husband and several children at Blue Spring Cemetery.
