John C. Mirise of Roscoe Dies
John C. Mirise, age 74, well known and highly respected citizen of Jackson-tp, dies at his home in Roscoe, Tuesday at 11:30 o'clock of heart trouble. John Cass Mirise was born in Roscoe, Jan 11, 1852 and lived his entire life there with the exception of five years spent in the west.
On Nov 4, 1883 he was united in marriage to Catherine Randles. To this union were born 3 children: Charles F. Mirise, of Roscoe, Mrs. Guy Norman, of Newcomerstown, and Lola, of the late home.
"Bailey," as he as familiarly known to his associates in Roscoe, possessed a jovial disposition, and was well liked.
In addition to his children, his widow; two sisters: Mrs. Jennie Hughes of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mrs. Mary Louise Wells, of Manhattan, Kansas, and one brother, Frank Mirise, of Colorado Springs, two granddaughters and three grandsons are survived by a wide circle of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Roscoe M. E. Church with Rev. H. A. Coffman in charge. Burial will be made in the Roscoe Cemetery.
