Lorena C. Angell, 88, of Medicine Lodge, KS, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, Medicine Lodge, KS.
She was born on August 28, 1929 in rural Sharon, KS, the daughter of Fred Ricke and Mary (Hrencher) Ricke.
In November of 1954, she married Elmer N. Angell, Jr. in Medicine Lodge, KS. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2017.
Lorena was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medicine Lodge, KS, HEU, and the Garden Club. She was a 4-H Leader, loved gardening and made wedding and anniversary cakes for many people. In 2005, she received the Homemaker Award at the Barber County Fair. Lorena was an avid basketball fan.
Surviving are three sons, Randall (Barb) Angell of Bothell, WA, Harold (Jean) Angell of Medicine Lodge, KS, and Roger (Twila) Angell of Medicine Lodge, KS; one daughter, Jan (Steve) England of Newton, KS; Seven grandchildren, Marcie Nordman, Mindy Willis, Lisa Kershner, Kimberly Angell, Scott Angell, Walinda Arnett, and Mitch Arnett; Seven great-grandchildren, Madisyn Day, Avah Arnett, Quinn Arnett, Nysa Price, Lillian Savala, Jack Borwick, and Hazel Willis.
Lorena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer Angell, Jr., and her siblings, Francis Ricke, Seraphine Ricke, Catherine Dick, Marie Dreier, Wilfred Ricke, and Mildred Ketzner.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
Rosary and Vigil Service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medicine Lodge, KS.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Firmin Kyaw and Father Tom Welk officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS.
Memorials may be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Barber County 4-H Foundation in care of the funeral home.

Lorena C. Angell, 88, of Medicine Lodge, KS, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, Medicine Lodge, KS.
