Mildred J. Ketzner, age 89 of Yamhill, died on October 23, 2013 at Legacy Hopewell House in Portland, Oregon.

Mildred Ketzner was born and raised in Sharon, Kansas, Oct 12, 1924. Her parents were Frederick Augustine Ricke and Mary Catherine Hrencher Ricke. She married Stephen Ketzner on November 6, 1946. They lived in Kansas before moving in 1952 to Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, and then to Yamhill, Oregon in 1962, where they started a marionberry farm. Mildred worked at the Yamhill grade school as a Teachers Aid for 19 years. She sewed quilts for each of her granchildrens' wedding.

Mildred is survived by 14 wonderful children; Paul and Jan Ketzner, Leo Ketzner, MaryAnn and Barry Prather, Albert and Debra Ketzner, Ruth and Jim Dorman, Jane and Allen Jones, Alice and Eric Smith, Nancy and Joel Waltz, Virginia and Don Bansen, Eileen and Kirk Sellman, Carolyn and Robert Buxton, Susan McLaughlin, Joyce and Mike Smith, Anna and Brian Adams; 52 beautiful grand kids and 32 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lorena Angel, from Kansas. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, in January 1987.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 28 at 11:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church, Yamhill with the Rosary prior to the Mass at 10:30 AM. Viewing will be on Sunday, October 27 at Chapel of Macy & Son from 12-5 pm. Interment will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery, McMinnville.
