Elmer Clay Bobbitt, 74, of Oklahoma City, passed away June 2, 2018. He was born December 24, 1943 to Arthur Leroy and Frankie Berwyn (Copeland) Bobbitt in Oklahoma City. Elmer was a family man and he loved spending time with his family. Elmer enjoyed being on his boat at Lake Arbuckle or in Ft. Cobb. Elmer also enjoyed playing Moon whenever he got the chance. Elmer was a very talented carpenter. He was a long time member of the Carpenter and Millwright Local Union #329. He used these skills to make every grandchild a changing table. Elmer is survived by his three sons: Floyd Bobbitt and wife Carol of Oklahoma City, Dale Bobbitt and wife Reba of Newcastle, and Jack Bobbitt and wife, Michelle of Yukon, two daughters: Jill Erwin of Oklahoma City and Charita Bobbitt also of Oklahoma City, grandchildren: Jonathan Bobbitt and wife Amy of Oklahoma City, Jessica Bobbitt of Springfield, MO, Julie Erwin of Oklahoma City, Benjamin Bobbitt of Newcastle, William Erwin of Oklahoma City, and Cassandra Bobbitt of Yukon, great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Emmi, Ellie, Sarah, and Samantha Lilly Erwin, one brother: Joe Bobbitt of Calvin, and a host of family and friends to cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Frankie Bobbitt, loving wife, Barbara Bobbitt, one unborn child, brothers: J.L. Bobbitt, Ralph Bobbitt, Leonard Bobbitt, Forrest Bobbitt, Vernon Bobbitt, and Fountain Lee Bobbitt, and sisters: Betty Lois Stanley, and Laura Nowlin. Visitation will be held 2-8pm Tuesday June 5, 2018. A funeral service will be held 10a.m. Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Faith Tabernacle in Oklahoma City. Burial will immediately follow at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma.
