Funeral services for Forrest Wayne Bobbitt, 82, of Hominy will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013, at the Calvary Worship Center in Hominy at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenny Christian officiating. Interment in the Stewart-Gammon Cemetery in Caney, Oklahoma will be held at 3:30 p.m. under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service are Ed Bedient, Brandon Bedient, Caleb Bedient, Cameron Bedient, Caleb Christian and Daniel Christian. Musical selections for the service are "Go Rest High On That Moutain" and "Set In Throne" sung by Kaylee Bobbitt. Forrest passed away December 24, 2013 at his residence in Hominy, Oklahoma. He was born on July 21, 1931 in Elmwood, Oklahoma, to Arthur Leroy and Frankie Berwyn (Copeland) Bobbitt. Forrest married Inez Crites on May 25, 1952 in Caney, Oklahoma. He worked as a butcher for Wilson Foods Meat Packing Co. Forrest has lived in Hominy for the past 11 years, moving from Calvin, Oklahoma where he had lived since 1974. He served as a deacon at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Calvin and enjoyed deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Leonard, half-brothers J.L. and Ralph and a half-sister Betty. (Powell Funeral Home)
