David and Phoebe had eleven children: Ellen C. born in 1852, Emma M. born 1855 and died in 1870, Anna born in 1857, Clara Francis born in 1861 in Minnesota, married Levi Brackett in 1877, died on Feb. 16, 1896 in Grand Island, Nebraska, William F. born i 1863, died 1918, Effie "Dolly" born 1868, Josie born 1870, Joseph Arthur born 6-9-1872, died 1-21-1921, Frank David born 1876 died 1942, John W. born 1877 died 1956, and Jesse T. born 1879 died 1966.
