He was born Nov., 1, 1913, at Pretty Prairie, the son of Joseph and Clara Maude White Barton. A Kingman and Reno County resident most of his life, he was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Rotary Club, both of Kingman, and he was past master of the Spivey Lodge A.F. and A.M., Spivey
On Dec., 24, 1934, he married Gladys Lambert at Pretty Prairie. She survives.
Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church , Kingman, with the Rev. Gordon Tasker presiding. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the Lone Star Cemetery, near Pretty Prairie.
