Officiating will be the Rev. Lea Joyner. Burial in Hasley Cemetery will be under the direction of Hixson Brothers. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until one hour before the rites.
Mr. Evans was 83 years of age. He is survived by four sons, Earl, New York City; James, Washington, D.C.; Lavalle, Monroe, and Cloyd, with the U.S. Army in France; a daughter, Mrs. Ernie Snyder, Royal Oak, Mich.; two half-brothers, Morris Noble, West Monroe and Ivy Noble, Beaumont, Tex., and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Thompson, Curtis Newsom, Dan Pickens, Wallace Lee, W. T. Lambright and J. E. Jones.
