Headstone indexed in February, 1956 by the Chief Tusquahoma Chapter DAR for the book, "Louisiana Tombstone Inscriptions: Volume I Ouachita Parish".

Shown on the 1900 Grant Parish census as the 16 year old wife of Thomas White. They had a 1 year old daughter Dosha E. The couple had been married 2 years.

On the 1910 Winn Parish, the couple have the following children: Docia E. (11), Lillie M. (10), Blanche K. (8), Hattie L. (6), James R. (4) and Mollie D. (two months shy of 2 years old).

The 1920 census shows her in Ouachita Parish as a widow (her husband had been murdered the previous March in Atlanta, LA). She has the following children: Lily (19), Katie (17), Hattie (16), Randle (13), Mollie (11), J.T. (8), Odell (6), Walter (3) and Ethel (8 months).

By the 1930 Ouachita Parish census, John (J.T.) is the only one still at home.

A John White married Sally Noble in Grant Parish September 23, 1897. This may be the above couple.

The funeral of Mrs. L.L. White, who passed away Thursday of last week was held from the Mulhearn Funeral Home the following day at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Johnson, pastor of the Baptist church at Swartz, officiating. Interment was in Hasley cemetery.
Pallbearers were E. Everette Lawson, John Hudson, Jack Angell, Fred Mitchell, Ed Lohan and Wayne Huckaby.
Mrs. White is survived by the following children: mrs. J.W. Mitchell of West Monroe, Mrs. Ethel Adams of West Monroe, Mrs. W.E. Lawson of Monroe, Mrs. C.F. Nettles of Monroe, Mrs. L.H. Wise of Fowler, Mrs. Hattie Franklin of Dumas, Ark., J.R. White of West Monroe, J.T. White of West Monroe, Odell White of Bastrop, and Walter White of West Monroe.

A previous obituary in the Monroe News-Star (March 24, 1939 Page 12, Column 5) has the exact same obituary as above, but lists brothers and sisters at the end in the list of survivors:

She also leaves the following brothers and one sister: Claude Evans, Pine Bluff, Ark., Joe Evans, Monroe; Louis Evans, Monroe, R.T. Noble, West Monroe, Ivy Noble, Port Arthur, Tex.; Morris Noble, Port Arthur, Tex., and Mrs. Sallie Graff, West Monroe.

Online sources state Lollie was the daughter of Marguerite Elizabeth Pugh Evans and her second husband James Iverson Noble.
