Funeral
services for Sam Jones Smith, 66, Moulton, will be held today at 2 P.M. at
Antioch Church.
Rev. J.D. Shaddix will conduct the rites and interment will
follow in Bald Knob Cemetery, Brown's directing.
Mr. Smith died at his home
yesterday after a long illness.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Madgie
Smith; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Strawn, Moulton; Mrs. George Schlenz, Reeding
Calif; Mrs. Zella Hill, Decatur 3; Mrs. Annie Long, Moulton 2; four sons, Gus
Smith and Audrey Smith, Moulton 2; Mitchell Smith, Decatur; and S.J. Smith Jr,
Russellville; one brother, Charlie Smith, Nashville; sixteen grandchildren; and
three great grandchildren.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Methodist
Church.
