PHILADELPHIA - Tony A. Byrd, 75, died Saturday at St Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Services are 2 p.m. today at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Longino Cemetery.

A native of Illinois, he moved to Mississippi in 1944. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Ford Byrd of Philadelphia; daughters, Mrs. Lanortta Maxey and Mrs. Tonie Tullos both of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Wanda Dealing of Madison; sons, Eugene Byrd and David Byrd of Clinton, Tippy Byrd of Florence, and Billy Byrd of Philadelphia; and 14 grandchildren.
